Villa Adriana

Hadrian’s Villa

Villa Adriana, Tivoli

Hadrian’s Villa is another one of those places that’s just outside of Rome that we’ve never been to. So we went with some other friends to check it out.

Villa Walls

The Villa is mostly destroyed – but the compound is *huge*.

We wandered around and talked while we took pictures.

Ohhh, more mosaics!

One of the buildings had previously been used as barracks – one bed in each rectangular alcove. And every room had amazing mosaics on the floors.

Posing with a view

After visiting Hadrian’s Villa we went for lunch in Tivoli. The restaurant we went to was amazing. It had crazy views along a valley with waterfalls, and the food was gourmet at regular prices.
